SLIGHTLY SOUR is as much a guilty-pleasure publication as it is a passion project decades in the making, rooted in my interest in what makes women tick.

So what’s unfolding in the “girl world?” What makes us obsessed and influenced, and why? Who is changing the game and who is redefining the societal landscape? These are the questions we will be answering.

SLIGHTLY SOUR is broken down as follows:

• Doomsday or Fri-yay: Bi-weekly Friday newsletter updating you on the latest obsessions, icons, and happenings of the girl world. Think Ilona Maher winning bronze, spotlights for women in music (Suki Waterhouse, SZA, Gracie Abrams, etc.), and the inevitable Call Her Daddy and Love Island commentary.

• Fiction Pairs Well with Feminine Rage: Monthly not-so-required reading sure to stock your Kindle and deplete your wine stores. We’re going to read a little bit of everything. Romantasy and chick lit, thrillers and horror, sci-fi, and literary fiction. We’ll pay homage to the greats, such as Margaret Atwood, Shirley Jackson, and Agatha Christie, and fall in love with the “Lit girls” like Mona Awad, Dolly Alderton, and Ottessa Moshfegh.
